Great tips, but how would the mid/side ducking affect the audio on mono devices such as bluetooth speakers? Would the overall volume of the synth be lower or would it clash with the vocals again?

The masker broke my audio. it turned into distortion anytime i messed with knobs. Same thing for all their other plug ins.

so is sidechaining with a compressor basically absolute because it lowers the volume of the whole channel since dynamic EQs are available?

Soothe is not a dynamic EQ, but a dynamic resonance suppressor. Although I agree side chaining a dynamic EQ can be a tool when needed (shouldn't be a substitute for proper balancing and mixing), you won't get the same result from resonance suppression.

Trackspacer is also a great plugin for reducing masking dynamically.

Ggreaat Video!! The best sounding recordings I’ve ever done were using VISUAL focusrite hardware liquid mix DSP modelled comp & eq’s with the HARDWARE on ProTools 9!! Using blue tubes “magnetic” tape emulation plug-in on every track …. Still have the magnetic plug-in but lost everything else in the upgrades and I’m only just getting back to my past standard of 10 yrs ago 😢😊

Thanks so much for all of your tutorials are incredible!! I think this may be particularly inherit issue in Ableton because in ProTools your mixer gives you both left and right panning channels so you’re sort of forced to go full left or full right if you want to pan properly …. But yeah I’ve used Ableton a few times and I had no idea this was the case thanks for the tip and saving me a headache 😊😊
